The avatar brothers found themselves in a clearing in the middle of Wulong Forest in the Earth Kingdom, the sky burning red from the comet. From his airship, Ozai spotted them, removed his robe so that he was only in his trousers, and leaped down with the agility of a leopard, using firebending to slow his fall. "Ah, the universe delivers you to me as an act of providence," he said. Jun Huo frowned. "Ozai, you must be brought to justice for all of your crimes," he said. Ozai laughed harshly. "Then defeat me!" he said and began firebending at them.

Kopaka used a fire bending technique he created to literally eat Ozai's fire, slurping it up. " alrighty, Im all fired up!" he said as he used earthbending to create armor around himself while firebending at Ozai.

As Ozai bent more flames toward him, Jun Huo bent a wall of earth to block it. For long did the battle go on. Then, Jun Huo realized that it was time to end it. Using earthbending, he entrapped Ozai, and then, using bloodbending and touching his fingers to the tyrant's forehead, removed his bending. "I have removed your bending, so that you can never use it to hurt anyone again," he said. Ozai growled in rage. "What did you do to me?!" he shouted.

" He took away your fire bending." Kopaka said as he released Ozai from the earthbending trappings. Kopaka used bloodbending to lift up ozai and fling him around efortlessly.

By the time he was done, Ozai was battered and bruised. By then, Iroh and the others, fresh from their own victories, arrived. "Such a shame, brother," he said. Ozai turned, made an attempt to move and then collapsed. Iroh turned to Lu Ten. "His sentence is up to you. Consider it your first act as firelord," he said.

Lu Ten nodded as he ordered his uncle taken away. After a trial, Ozai was exicuted alongside Azula. Days later Lu-Ten was crowned firelord, with Jun Hou as his heir and Kopaka as second in line. The hundred year war was ended and peace was restored.
In the end, Kopaka and Jun Hou left the spirit portals open and The effect brought the rise of new airbenders.

In the days that followed, Jun Huo decided to ask Ty Lee an important question. "Ty Lee, I know that we're both a bit young for this, but, now that the war is over, when we're a bit older, will you marry me and be the future firelady?" he asked. Meanwhile, Aang joined Gyatso in finding the new airbenders.

"Yes, of course I will!" Ty Lee said, squealing from joy.
Kopaka accompanied Aang and Gyatso in recruiting Airbenders. He used street performance as the means to atract them, luring them in by droves.

Jun Huo was delighted beyond imagination. He was the happiest male in all of the Fire Nation at this very moment. "Come, I need to tell my father of this," he said, taking her by the hand. Walking through the Fire Nation royal palace, they arrived in the throne room. "Father, I have something that I want your blessing on. I asked Ty Lee if she would marry me when we were older, and she said yes," he stated. Aang looked at Gyatso. "This is a good start for us airbenders," he said.

"That is wonderful my son!" Lu Ten said joyfully embracing both h8s son and future daughter-in law.
Kopaka also commissioned new air wingsuits as attire, something that Gyatso noticed Aang had reservations about. The wingsuits got a more possitive reaction as opposed to the uniterested silence from Aang showing off traditional airbender attire.

Jun Huo smiled. "Well, it will still be a few years, Dad, but I am very excited," he said. Aang sighed. "Toph was right. Things are going to have to change. I'm no longer living in the day of the old Air Nomads," he said, attempting to be supportive.
