Iroh responded with a hug of his own. "Oh, my son!" the old firebender said gleefully. He sighed. "What happened? I thought you were killed at Ba Sing Se," he said.

Lu Ten didn't get a chance to answer before his youngest son tackled him in a hug. "Daddy!" the seven year old boy said happily. " Patrick?" He asked as he also saw David.

Iroh smiled, knowing that they had to get back on track. "Come. We need to get to Ba Sing Se. We will discuss this later," he said.

Arriving at Ba sing sae, they used Iroh's white lotus connections to enter the city and were ready to repel the invastion.

Iroh once more stepped into the role of general. "Waterbenders, prepare to use your bending to flush them out of the tunnels. Toph, be ready to use your earthbending against the ground troops. Firebenders, come with me. Airbenders, be ready. Firebenders, come with me. Lastly, if we encounter Ozai, I will deal with him, for Aang is not yet ready," he said.

Lu-Ten stood next to his father. "If my uncle does come, I will face him with you father." Lu-Ten declared.
However it was Azula, not Ozai that was leading this invastion. Ozai wanted his daughter to be immortalised as the conquer of the 'Impenetrable city'.

Kopaka, Katana and Hama used their waterbending to flush the fire nation troops into a pit that toph made. Then Aang and Gyatso used air bending to keep them off balance while the fire benders and Toph subdued them. Azula was furious, her glorious conquest of ba sing sae was ruined! And she was held here, bound by stone and gagged by water as Kopaka's bloodbending striped her of her fire bending that she cherished.

Iroh looked at his niece sadly. "Such a shame for a talented firebender," he said. He turned to Kopaka. "Did you strip her bending permanently?" he asked.
