Time had passed, and Balto had grown into an energetic and happy puppy, playing with his siblings and with the other pups in the pack. Aniu looked at the sky and then at Samson. "It looks like a blizzard is coming," she said.

Samson nodded, "It has been getting colder and it does look like snow, We better get inside." He said to her.

Aniu nodded and howled for the pups to follow her. They did. She counted them. "We have all of them. We got away this time, but that doesn't mean that we're out of danger. The blizzard could strike at any time," she said.

Samson smiled at his son, "We had to get inside young one because a storms going to hit and it would've been to dangerous to be outside when it hits." He said to him.

Aniu walked up to her mate. "I am worried. Tomorrow is the day when the pups are supposed to observe the hunt. Should we still take them along? They need to learn, but we have no idea when the storm will hit," she said.
