Mako worked hard to train the boy in firebending. It could be stressful at times, but, thankfully, Asami was there for him when he needed it.

Soon Pohatu was fully trained in all the bending arts and in the avatar state. All at the tender age of five.
"Tenzin when can I fight the bad guys like Korra did?" the boy asked his air bender master.
