Chapter 1
Leviathan, the massive ship that headed up the Sith fleet, drifted slowly through space in the Taris star system. This star system was the home of the faded city world of Taris. On the bridge, looking out the massive window at the star-studded void at the globe that was Taris, was a tall, muscular male tiger. This was Darth Trucidus, Dark lord of the Sith. Previously, he had been the Jedi named Shere Khan. In the past, Shere Khan had been a powerful Jedi knight, but he was also arrogant and rebellious. When the infamous war known to galactic history as the Mandalorian Wars erupted, Khan was one of several Jedi who rebelled against the Jedi Council and went to fight. Shere Khan proved to be a military genius, and the war was won by the Jedi and the Republic. However, this was the beginning of his corruption. Following the victory, Shere Kahn and his malamute friend and fellow Jedi Steele took off into the galaxy's outer rim, where they eventually arrived on the Sith tombworld of Korriban. While there, they fell under the sway of the spirits of ancient Dark lords of the Sith and the then reigning Sith lord, Darth Traya. After learning all they could from her, they betrayed her and abandoned her. It was at that time that Shere Khan, Jedi Knight, became Darth Trucidus, Dark lord of the Sith. Steele became Darth Skia, the Dark lord's apprentice. Upon returning from Korriban, they launched their war against the galactic government. Now, he seemed to be winning the war against the Republic. As he looked out at his fleet, a brown wolf in the gray uniform of a high-ranking Sith officer approached. His name was Saul, and he was the admiral of the Sith fleet. He looked at Trucidus.
"You summoned me, Lord Trucidus?" he asked.
Trucidus turned and looked at the wolf.
"The search for the two Jedi is taking too long. We cannot risk them escaping Taris. Destroy the entire planet," the tiger ordered.
Saul was shocked. Recently, the Sith empire had invaded Taris and occupied it, placing it under quarantine and forbidding anyone from coming or going. Following a space battle between Republic and Sith forces, two Jedi had become stranded on Taris. Upon this discovery, Trucidus had ordered them found. However, that hadn't happened yet. Saul looked into the fierce eyes of the Dark lord.
"The entire planet, Lord Trucidus? We'd be slaughtering countless innocent civilians, not to mention our own men still on the surface," he said.
Trucidus glared and issued a menacing tiger growl.
"Your predecessor once made the mistake of questioning my orders, Admiral. Surely you are not so foolish as to make the same mistake?" he said.
Saul backed off.
"Of course not, Lord Trucidus. I will do as you command, but it will take several hours to position our fleet," he said.
Trucidus nodded, never ending his frightening feline glare.
"Then I suggest you begin immediately. You are dismissed, Admiral," he said.
Saul took off to give the orders to start positioning the fleet for the orbital bombardment. Several hours later, it was time. The Sith began to fire upon the city. Fires began to spread and billions of innocent beings began to die, sending out echoes through the Force. After some time, Saul returned to Trucidus.
"Taris is defenseless against our assault, Lord Trucidus. They are offering no resistance. The city is in ruins," he said.
Trucidus continued to look out the window.
"Resume the bombardment, Admiral Saul. Wipe this pathetic planet from the face of the galaxy!" he said.
Saul left to carry out the order. The bombardment resumed. Before long, the once-glorious planetwide city of Taris was no more.

Chapter 2
The deaths of the anthros and aliens of Taris echoed through the Force. On the Republic's capital planet of Coruscant, at the Jedi Temple, in one of the training rooms, Four young adult Jedi apprentices each in their very early twenties, a beautiful female tiger named Tigress, a beautiful lioness named Nala, a striking male panda named Po and a handsome male lion named Simba, had just felt these deaths and were shocked by it. Tigress was a native of Coruscant, Po was from the core world of Chandrila, and Simba and Nala both hailed from the planet of Naboo.
"What just happened?" Po asked.
Tigress looked at him.
"It is like the masters told us. When many die, it can be felt through the Force," she said.
"Do you think we have another Telos on our hands?" Nala asked.
Simba nodded as he listened to her. Several years ago, Saul had betrayed the Republic and, in order to display his newfound loyalty to the Sith empire and Darth Trucidus, bombarded the peaceful world of Telos IV, destroying its environment and turning its atmosphere toxic.
"Let's not jump to conclusions. Anything could have happened," Simba said.
Tigress and Nala looked at Po and Simba. For some time now, the four had developed romantic interest in each other: Tigress and Po for each other, and Simba and Nala for each other. It had been subtle at first, but had grown stronger. However, due to the Jedi rules forbidding romantic relationships, they had been careful to hide it from their masters. For a moment, they each thought on their feelings, wanting to express them, but burying them to avoid breaking the rules. However, they soon brought themselves back to the moment. Just then, the door to the training room opened and four Jedi masters entered. The first was a tall, powerfully-built male tiger. His name was Rajah and he was the Grandmaster of the order and the master to Tigress. The next was a male Mandrill with a long white beard under his chin. His name was Rafiki, and he was the trainer of Simba. Next was a black-furred male panther. His name was Bagheera, and he was the master to Nala. Last was a pretty, red-skinned female alien with two long, fleshy tails hanging from the back of her head. A member of the Twi'lek species, her name was Daesha Anu, and she was the master to Po.
"Greetings, padawans," Rajah began.
All four of them rushed over and bowed.
"Greetings, Masters," they said in unison.
"Surely, you have felt the great loss of life in the Force," Master Daesha said.
Po nodded.
"Yes, Master. What happened?" the panda asked.
Bagheera sighed.
"A Republic ship called the Endar Spire was traveling through the Taris system. During this time, they encountered the Sith fleet and engaged in battle. We know this because a Republic soldier managed to get a holo-message regarding this topic to us shortly before the ship was destroyed," he said.
Nala's eyes went wide.
"Is that what we felt in the Force?" she asked.
Rajah shook his head.
"No. I feel that something far worse has happened," he said.
"What, Master Rajah?" Simba asked.
The tall tiger looked at the lion padawan.
"As much as I want to say that it isn't true, the Force confirms it. The Sith have destroyed Taris," he said.
The eyes of Tigress, Nala, Po and Simba went wide and they gasped in unison. Tigress then stepped forward.
"Then perhaps it's finally time that we took the fight to Darth Trucidus himself," she said to the masters, the determination to stop the Sith obvious in her ember-colored eyes.
Rajah held up his paw.
"I appreciate your fervor, young one, but remember the first line of the Jedi Code," he said.
Tigress nodded.
"There is no emotion, there is peace," she said.
Rajah nodded in approval. Simba looked at the masters.
"What shall we do now?" he asked.
Rafiki looked at his padawan.
"We shall be patient. We are going to look at de reports again and we shall return to you with an answer," he said.
The students bowed.
"Yes, Masters," they said.
And with that, the masters left. Tigress, Nala, Po and Simba looked at each other.
"Well, what now?" Simba asked.
Tigress smiled slightly.
"Anyone up for lightsaber practice?" she asked.
Po gave her a playful smirk.
"Sure, I'll take you on," he said.
Seeing that a training session was about to start, Simba and Nala backed off. Tigress removed the hilt of her lightsaber from her belt, ignited the gleaming orange blade and took up the opening stance of the fifth form of lightsaber combat, Djem So, which was her preferred style and allowed her to use the great strength inherent in her kind. Po took his own lightsaber off his belt and ignited its green blade. He took up the opening stance of his combat style, the third form of lightsaber combat, Soresu. Though this form was normally used for the deflection of blaster bolts, Po, with the help of his master, had created a variation that he used to great effect during saber duels, using the traditional version for facing blaster-wielding opponents.
"Let us begin," Tigress said with a small smile.
And so they did. Their blades met with a clash and an explosion of light. As their practice session continued, Simba and Nala began their own. Simba brandished a blue bladed lightsaber and used the sixth form of lightsaber combat, Niman. Nala, like Tigress, used Djem So and fought with a purple-bladed lightsaber. They too began their practice duel. It went on for quite some time. Just then, the door of the training room opened, revealing yet another Jedi master. This one was a male Selkath, an amphibious species of fish-like aliens resembling anthropomorphic stingrays who hailed from the ocean planet of Manaan. This one's name was Qual, and he was a revered member of the Jedi council. He looked at the four padawans.
"Padawans, there is an emergency. The council requests your presence," the Selkath master said.
The padawans nodded and followed the Selkath to the council chamber. Upon entering, they bowed and looked at the masters.
"What is going on?" Tigress asked.
Rajah looked at his student and her friends.
"Apprentices, we have received news from Senator Reynard of Amar that his homeworld has fallen prey to a combined Sith/Czerka Corporation mining effort on his homeworld. They do not have any right to do this, and worse, there is evidence of slaving operations as well," he said.
Nala nodded.
"What would you have us do, Masters?" she asked.
Bagheera looked at them.
"We have discussed this. We have decided that you four will go and put a stop to these evil actions. If you successfully complete this assignment, you will be promoted to Jedi knighthood. This mission will be your Jedi trials," he said.
Po smiled.
"We won't let you down, Masters. When do we leave?" he said.
Daesha gestured towards the door.
"Right now. We have taken the liberty of hiring a pair of pilots for you. They are waiting at one of the landing platforms. Senator Reynard's wife, Kiya, is on the planet and will tell you everything when you reach Amar," she said.
Tigress bowed, along with the others.
"Yes, masters. We will return as soon as we have restored order," she said.
Rajah gave them one last look.
"Padawans, may the Force be with you," he said.
Accepting the farewell, Tigress, Nala, Po and Simba headed out the door and headed for the landing platforms. Upon arrival, they were met by two canine anthros. One was a handsome male wolf/husky hybrid with gray-brown fur, while the other was a beautiful red-furred female husky. Behind them was their ship, which was an orange and white Dynamic-class cargo freighter manufactured by the Core Galaxy Systems company. The male hybrid approached the Jedi.
"Hello, my Jedi friends. I am Balto, and with me is my wife Jenna. The ship is the Ebon Hawk, the fastest ship in the galaxy. She can outrun just about any vessel," he said.
Jenna nodded.
"If you're ready, we can leave now," she said.
Tigress smiled.
"Yes, we're ready," she said.
Balto gestured for the Jedi to follow him. They did so. When everyone was boarded, the Ebon Hawk blasted off from Coruscant, blazing through the sky and into the starry void of space. It was now en route to Amar.

Chapter 3
The Ebon Hawk continued on its way towards Amar. Balto and Jenna sat in the cockpit, while Tigress, Po Nala and Simba talked in the ship's main area.
"Ok, we know that the Sith and Czerka Corporation are causing trouble on Amar. What I want to know is what exactly they're looking for," Po said.
Tigress looked at him.
"Well, Amar's forests and mountains are filled with abundant natural resources, including energy crystals and ore. That's what they're likely after," she said, briefly looking deep into his green eyes, indicating her attraction to him, but then stopping herself. Simba thought about this.
"Master Rajah also spoke of a slaving operation. That means they're enslaving Amarans," he said.
Nala nodded.
"But why use Amarans?" she asked.
Tigress shrugged.
"Do the Sith and Czerka ever have a reason for the crimes they commit?" she asked.
The others nodded. Czerka was a very large, very powerful and very wealthy weapons company that also dabbled in numerous illegal activities, such as slaving operations, using loopholes in Republic law in order to avoid getting fined or shut down. The talk continued. Finally, after a long while in hyperspace, Jenna came to the young Jedi.
"We have arrived at Amar. We are about to head down to the planet and land at the spaceport at Surru City," she said.
The Jedi nodded and prepared for a landing. Named for an important figure in Amaran mythology, Surru City was the capital of Amar and the hometown of Senator Reynard and his wife, Kiya, who served as the city administrator. Finally, the ship landed in a docking bay, and the Jedi, Balto and Jenna disembarked. Standing just outside the ship was a redddish-orange-furred male Amaran standing about four feet in height. He was wearing the garb of a bodyguard and had a blaster pistol and a vibroblade holstered at either hip.
"Greetings. You must be the Jedi that Senator Reynard sent for. Now, if you'll follow me, I will take you to Kiya. She will explain everything to you," he said.
Tigress smiled.
"Take us, please," she said.
The bodyguard nodded and led them to a nice home in the city's downtown. There, in the courtyard, stood a beautiful female Amaran of about 3.5 meters in height with milk-white fur and ice-blue eyes stood there. This was Kiya, city administrator and wife to the black-furred, red-eyed Senator Reynard. She looked at the Jedi.
"Welcome to Amar. I am Kiya, wife of Senator Reynard. I am glad to see you here. The situation with the Sith and Czerka is getting out of control," she said.
Nala nodded in acknowledgement.
"What exactly is happening?" the lioness asked.
Kiya took them inside her house and explained everything: the mining and slaving operations, how they were carried out in defiance of the traditional Amaran mining system and so on. As they talked, a new voice, that of a female in late adolescence, was heard.
"Mom, who are they?" it asked.
Everyone turned to see a pretty teenage female Amaran with reddish-orange fur and emerald green eyes who was about the same height as her mother. She was wearing long magenta trousers and a magenta vest over a sleeveless purple shirt. She also had a blaster and a vibroblade strapped on either hip. Kiya smiled.
"Everyone, this is mine and Senator Reynard's daughter, Mira. We have decided that she will help you in your quest, " she said.
The two pilots and the four Jedi were shocked. Tigress looked at Kiya.
"Why would you send your only daughter on such a dangerous mission?" she asked.
Kiya smiled proudly.
"This girl has extremely good instincts, she knows the terrain of the planet and she's a whiz with computers," she said.
Mira nodded.
"And I'm not alone. I have a T3 droid to help me," she said.
"A T3 droid?" Po asked.
Mira nodded and then left for a moment. When she returned, she had a squat, white-colored T3 astromech droid with her. She gestured to the droid, which had masculine programming.
"Everyone, meet T3-M4. He's the best-programmed T3 unit you'll ever meet," she said.
T3 beeped excitedly.
"He's pleased to meet you," Mira said.
Kiya looked at the Jedi and the two pilots.
"Mira, honey, the wolf-dog is Balto, the husky is Jenna, the tiger is Tigress, the panda is Po, the lioness is Nala and the lion is Simba. They're Jedi, while Balto and Jenna are pilots," she said.
Mira went up to them.
"I'm excited to work with you," she said, her green eyes gleaming with delight.
Simba smiled.
"And we're excited to see your skills," he replied.
Tigress gave a look to the young Amaran.
"Just remember that we are going to keep a close eye on you so that you're safe," she said.
Mira nodded.
"Understood," she stated.
Kiya looked at the group.
"Well, now that we all know each other, if you're all ready to go, there's a special speeder outside ready to take you to the center of the operation out in the forest," she said.
The Jedi and the pilots stood.
"We're ready," Simba said.
And so, they left for the speeder, followed by Mira and T3. Once on board, they headed for the problem zone.

Chapter 4
The speeder left Surru City and headed through Amar's woodlands. As it moved, Tigress, Po, Nala, Simba, Balto, Jenna and Mira sat, not speaking. Ostensibly, they were preparing themselves for the battle to come, but, in reality, something else entirely was going on. Po and Simba were admiring the beauty of Tigress and Nala. It was related to their feelings. Po admired Tigress' gleaming ember eyes, gorgeous face and beautiful, lean, lithe body. At the same time, Simba admired Nala's shining sapphire eyes, gorgeous face and beautiful, lean, lithe body. They admired the girls' abilities as well, each thought of them making their feelings for them stronger. At the same time, Tigress and Nala were admiring the looks of Po and Simba, as well as their abilities. This went on for a bit. Suddenly, Mira intervened.
"Why are you just sitting there looking at each other in a lovey-dovey way? Are you romantically attracted to each other or something?" the intelligent teenage Amaran asked.
Nala gave a slightly nervous chuckle.
"Of course not, Mira. We're Jedi. That sort of thing is beneath us. As well, it's forbidden," she said, her tone unconvincing.
Mira smirked and her tail wagged.
"I know better," she said.
Not wanting her to tell her parents and the news of their attraction to spread to the Jedi masters, Tigress changed the subject.
"How old are you, Mira?" she asked.
Mira smiled at this obvious attempt on the part of these Jedi padawans to hide their feelings, but decided to play along.
"I'm seventeen. Next year, I'll be eighteen, and, according to Amaran custom, a full-grown adult," she said proudly.
Po nodded.
"And how did you get T3-M4?" he asked.
Mira looked at the droid and then back at Po.
"He was a gift from my parents. They decided that I should have someone like him to help me in case I ever found myself in a situation where a droid's help would be beneficial," she said.
Simba looked at the droid.
"Have you ever found yourself in such a situation?" he asked.
Mira shook her fluffy vulpine head.
"Thankfully, no," she said.
She then looked at each Jedi individually.
"So, what about you guys? Do any of you have any special talents?" she asked.
Tigress looked at her with a small smile.
"Other than the typical Jedi abilities, none of us have any ability that's particularly special, except for Nala," she said.
Mira looked at the lioness with excitement.
"What's your ability?" she asked.
Nala gave her a look of acknowledgement.
"I possess the Force ability of battle meditation," she said in a humble tone.
Mira had never heard of such an ability.
"What's that?" the adolescent Amaran asked.
Nala looked down before speaking again.
"It's an application of the Force that allows me to influence the outcome of battles. One side is motivated continuously, while the other quickly loses heart," she said.
Mira seemed even more interested.
"Do all Jedi have that power?" she asked.
Nala shook her head.
"No. It's very rare, especially for someone who's only a padawan and someone my age," she said.
"How old are you?" Mira asked.
Nala smiled.
"I'm twenty-two years old, the same as my Jedi friends that you see with me," she said.
However, before Mira could respond, a call from the speeder pilot came over the intercom, saying that they had arrived at the center of the operation, an old base formerly used by Amaran catchers who would capture Amar's great beasts for offworld transport to zoos, private menageries and other displays. It had been seized by the Sith and Czerka. As the speeder came to a stop, Mira put her paws on her blaster and vibroblade.
"I'm ready for what is to come," she said.
Tigress nodded happily.
"Good. Now, come on and stay close to us," she said.
Mira got up from her seat and followed the Jedi and two pilots. The speeder had been parked a safe distance away, but one where the entrance gate could be seen. It was guarded by two aliens, one an ugly, bug-eyed male Rodian with blue-green skin and the other a green-skinned male Twi'lek, both clad in the typical green and yellow uniform of the Czerka Corporation.
"It is time," Simba said.
Balto, Jenna and Mira nodded as the Jedi began to move toward the gate. As they arrived, the Twi'lek stopped them.
"State your business, outsiders," he said.
Po removed his lightsaber from his belt. The other Jedi did the same.
"In the name of the Galactic Senate of the Republic, we have come to put an end to this operation," the panda said, igniting his lightsaber as he spoke.
Tigress, Nala and Simba also ignited their blades. Frightened, the Rodian and the Twi'lek attacked, but were no match for the young Jedi. Soon, they lay dead. Finding that the lock on the gate was only a primitive one, and that the gate was simple wood, Tigress sliced through it easily with her saber's blade and she and her allies were inside the compound. Sith and Czerka guards attacked, but were felled quickly. Balto, Jenna and Mira joined in, using their vibroblades and blasters. At the same time, T3-M4 helped them, using his special built-in blasters and droid weapons, which included a flamethrower for living beings and an ion canon for security droids. The liberation of Amar had begun.

Chapter 5
The battle raged in the Amar beast trapper's complex. It was obvious that the guards had not been expected to go up against Jedi, as they had been armed with standard vibroblades, not the kind made with a special weave of the lightsaber-resistant metal known as cortosis. The fight continued. Tigress sensed that the Amaran captives were being held within the building complex normally used for housing captured beasts. She looked at her companions.
"They're in there!" she shouted.
Po nodded and headed in the direction of the building, the others in tow. Like the gate, the door was simple wood, and the lock was likewise simple. Po swung his lightsaber and brought the door down. After striking down another opponent, sending the remaining ones fleeing for cover, Tigress joined them. Simba searched the area with the Force.
"That way," he said.
The group headed down a hallway. Finally, they found what they were looking for. Before them were several rows of cages, originally used for holding beasts but now containing many sad-looking Amarans wearing slave collars. A silver-furred female recognized Tigress, Po, Nala and Simba as Jedi and ran to them.
"Are you here to help us?" she asked.
Tigress nodded.
"Yes. The Jedi council and Administrator Kiya sent us," she said.
The female Amaran rushed to the front of the cell.
"Thank the Force you've come! Now, this facility isn't used anymore. You can just free us," she said.
Tigress nodded and ignited her lightsaber. She used the shining energy blade to cut down the cell doors. Po, Nala and Simba followed suit. Before long, the former slaves were free. Mira smiled at the fellow members of her kind.
"Now come on. We're going to go out and back to our speeder. Once there, we'll contact my mom and have her send out a fleet to take you back to Surru City. From there, you can get transport back to wherever you originally came from," she said.
"What about the guards?" another Amaran asked.
Mira laughed.
"They're gone. Most are dead and the others stumbled over themselves trying to get away from my Jedi friends," she said.
"And I'm fairly certain that the Sith here were low-ranking grunts, since they fought so badly," Po added.
The Amarans agreed and followed them. Finally, they got back to the speeder. Once there, Mira immediate activated the holoprojector. Moments later, the image of Kiya appeared and looked at her daughter.
"You bring me news, dear daughter?" she said.
Mira smiled proudly.
"Our people are free once more, thanks to our brave Jedi friends and their allies," she said.
Kiya nodded happily.
"That is wonderful news, Mira. Your father and Supreme Chancellor Mufasa will be ecstatic," she said.
Mira nodded.
"Could you also send a fleet of speeders to collect all of us? There's quite a few Amarans that were enslaved," she said, gesturing to indicate the group.
"I will, Mira. I am so proud of you. You risked your life to help your people. Your father will be proud too," Kiya replied.
"Thanks, Mom," Mira answered.
"You're welcome. I will see you shortly," Kiya responded.
With that, the hologram switched off. Simba looked at Mira.
"Well, I guess it's time that we went back to Coruscant to report this to the council and to the senate," he said.
Mira nodded at him.
"Yes, but not before my mother thanks you," she said.
Simba looked at her.
"You were great out there. You're great in a fight," he told her.
"My parents made sure I had combat training when I was a kit," Mira explained.
Mira went on to explain her combat training. Before long, the speeder fleet arrived and the former slaves were taken back to the capital city. Upon arrival, Kiya was there to meet him, along with other important Amaran officials.
"You are greatly honored, Jedi. We will never forget what you have done for us this day," Kiya said.
Tigress smiled humbly.
"Well, we wouldn't have been able to do it without the help of your daughter. She's a genius, just like you said," she said.
Kiya hugged her daughter, the parental pride on her face obvious. Po went up them.
"Well, I think we should be going back to Coruscant now," he said.
Kiya nodded.
"And we are going with you. I want to tell my husband the story of your victory in person," she said.
Tigress looked toward the spaceport.
"Our ship is there. We can go whenever you're ready," she said.
Kiya acknowledged this statement.
"Let us go to our home and get our bags and then we will be ready," she said.
And so they did. After the two Amaran vixens were packed, they and T3 followed Tigress, Po, Nala, Simba, Balto and Jenna to the spaceport. When they arrived at the docking bay where the Ebon Hawk had landed, they made a frightening discovery: the door had been cut open, and the cut marks looked like they had come from a lightsaber. They entered the docking bay and suddenly saw a black-cloaked figure. It lifted its hooded head, revealing it to be a male malamute. This was Darth Skia himself. He looked at the Jedi, and then removed his cloak. Following this, he removed the longer-than-standard lightsaber hilt from his belt and ignited one blood-red blade, followed by another red blade at the opposite end of the hilt. Simba drew his own lightsaber, and then looked at his friends.
"Go and get aboard the ship and take off. I will join you," he said.
Nala was worried.
"But Simba…" she began.
"Go!" Simba shouted.
They did so. Immediately, Darth Skia attacked, using an unimaginably brutal version of the seventh form of lightsaber combat, Juyo. His blades of red met Simba's blade of blue. Tigress, Nala and the others looked on at the duel from the cockpit window of the Ebon Hawk as it hovered above the duelists. Finally, Simba looked above and, using the Force, leapt up to the Hawk's open entrance ramp. It closed. Back on the ground, Skia smiled wickedly, as he had put a tracking device on the ship before the escape. Back on the ship, Simba showed himself to the others to relieve their fears. They were now on their way back to Coruscant.

Chapter 6
Aboard the Ebon Hawk, the journey was underway. Po and Simba were starting to fall even more in love with Tigress and Nala. It was the same for Tigress and Nala. Po looked at Tigress.
"Wow, she's beautiful," he thought to himself.
He continued to look at her, looking away when she looked in his direction.
"He's one of the most amazing Jedi I've ever seen, and he's handsome too," she thought to herself.
Simba and Nala were also thinking similar things about each other.
"Thank the Force for her," Simba thought.
"Wow, he's so handsome," Nala thought.
Mira could sense what was going on from the looks being exchanged.
"Aha! You do like each other!" she said.
Po shook his head.
"It's not like that, Mira. We're only friends and fellow Jedi. We don't have any feelings for each other," he said, trying to stop the young Amaran.
Mira gave him a look.
"Sure, and I'm the queen of Onderon," she said sarcastically.
T3 beeped in a sequence that sounded like laughter. Kiya put up a hand.
"Mira, please stop. I'm sure these good Jedi don't need any more stress," she said.
Mira obeyed. Tigress looked at the Ebon Hawk's holoprojector.
"Well, I guess it's time that we contact the Jedi Council," she said.
Po, Nala and Simba nodded. Tigress went to the projector and punched some numbers into the keypad. Before long, Master Rajah's hologram appeared.
"It is done, Master Rajah. Amar is free," she said.
"Well-done, all of you. You have truly proven yourself worthy of the title 'Jedi'. You will be promoted to the rank of Jedi knight upon your return. Land at the senate building. We will meet you there, as will Supreme Chancellor Mufasa, Senator Sarabi and Senator Reynard. Also, we have another mission for you. Therefore, we will be giving you something important for the journey," Rajah said.
Tigress smiled proudly.
"Yes, Master," she said, giving a slight bow.
Rajah's hologram then faded from existence. Tigress looked at her fellow Jedi.
"Congratulations, all of you," she said.
She then looked at Mira.
"And thanks to you, Mira. Your help was valuable," she said.
Just then, Jenna came into the main area.
"We're en route to Coruscant. We're glad to have helped the Jedi and the Republic in this mission," she said.
Po looked at her.
"You and Balto are great pilots," he said.
Jenna nodded.
"Thank you, Master Jedi. I will be sure to pass on your compliment to him. Also, I heard Master Rajah speaking of another mission. I want to take this opportunity to say that Balto and I will be helping you once again," she replied.
Po smiled.
"We're very happy to have you at our side," he said.
Jenna was glad to hear this. Meanwhile, aboard the Leviathan, Darth Skia went to see Darth Trucidus on the bridge.
"Lord Trucidus, the Amar operation has been foiled by four Jedi and their allies. They escaped, but I managed to place a tracking device aboard their ship at the spaceport. The latest report shows that they are headed for Coruscant," he said.
Trucidus turned.
"Though I am disappointed about the Amar operation, I am glad that you placed a tracking device aboard their ship, Lord Trucidus. Soon, it will be time to confront them," he said.
Skia smiled wickedly. Despite this smile, his hatred of the Jedi was obvious in his eyes.
"Shall I go now? If I do, we can be rid of them quicker, and then we can move into the core worlds and do to Coruscant what you did to Taris," he said.
Trucidus glared.
"No, my old friend. We must first allow your hatred to grow and fester. Then, and only then, can you be prepared to fight these Jedi," he said.
Skia was enraged, but controlled himself for the moment. Back on the Ebon Hawk, the rest of the time was spent talking and training. Finally, they arrived at Coruscant. They flew into the planet's atmosphere and landed at the docks of the senate building. After disembarking, they saw the Jedi masters and various Republic officials, along with a new-looking protocol droid, heading towards them. At the front of the pack were Simba's parents, his father Mufasa, Supreme Chancellor of the Republic, and his mother Sarabi, who served as the senator of the family's homeworld of Naboo. Because of their ranks, Simba was allowed to see them despite the Jedi's normal rule against members seeing their birth families. Sarabi went up and hugged her son.
"The Jedi council reported to us what happened. Thank you for what you and your friends have done," she said.
Simba smiled.
"We're Jedi. Protecting the weak and helping those in need is our job," he said.
Just as Mufasa was about to say something, and as Kiya and Mira were reunited with Senator Reynard, the Jedi masters, Rajah, Bagheera, Rafiki, Daesha and Qual came up.
"It is time, padawans," Bagheera said.
Rajah nodded.
"Yes, it is time that we stopped being masters and students and became brothers and sisters," he said.
Daesha looked at the four padawans.
"Kneel before us," she instructed.
Tigress, Po, Nala and Simba did so. The masters stepped in front of them. Rajah removed his lightsaber from his belt and ignited it. The other masters did the same. Rajah's blade was blue, Bagheera's blade was silver, Rafiki's blade was yellow, Daesha's blade was magenta and Qual's blade was green. Rajah held his blade over their heads and began the ceremony.
"Padawans, in the name of the Force and of those who have gone before us, dub thee I do, knights of the Republic," he said, officially marking the end of their training and their rise to full Jedi knighthood.
There was a loud clap from Mufasa, Sarabi, Kiya, Mira, Senator Reynard and the other Republic officials.
"Thank you," Po said to the masters.
Rajah returned the look as he and the others deactivated their lightsabers.
"Now, about the new mission. We have received word that Sith agents are stirring up trouble between the Rodian clans on the planet of Rodia. We ask you to go and solve this issue," he said.
Po looked at him.
"But Master Rajah, none of us can speak Rodese," he said.
Rajah motioned to the new-looking protocol droid, who stepped forward. Rajah looked at the padawans.
"Apprentices, I want you to meet C8-42. He's a very well-programmed droid, fluent in many languages. You are his new masters," he said.
C8-42 looked at his new masters. He was a silver protocol droid with masculine programming.
"Greetings, Masters and Mistresses. I am ready to serve you," he said.
Tigress looked at the droid.
"Just how many languages can you speak?" she asked.
"I am fluent in numerous languages, Mistress. Those languages include Selkath, Huttese, Rodese, Jawa and many others," he said.
Tigress nodded in response.
"I am Tigress, and these are my friends Po, Nala and Simba," she said, gesturing to indicate each one.
C8 greeted each of them. Simba looked at the others.
"Well, I guess we should get going" he said.
Just then, Mira, Kiya, Senator Reynard and T3 stepped forward.
"Before you go, great Jedi, I request that you take my daughter along as part of your team. You never know when you'll need a computer expert," Senator Reynard said.
Tigress nodded.
"True. Very well, she will be part of the team. We will take good care of her," she said.
Mira smiled proudly and, after saying goodbye to her parents, started heading back to the Ebon Hawk.
"Well, come on. The Rodia situation isn't going to solve itself!" she said.
Tigress, Po, Nala, Simba, Balto, Jenna, C8 and T3 followed. They got aboard the Ebon Hawk and took off, once more leaving Coruscant behind. Before long, they would be on their destination: the jungle-covered world of Rodia, homeworld of the reptilian Rodian species.

Chapter 7
The Ebon Hawk was en route to Rodia. Inside, the crew was discussing the mission.
"So, let me get this straight. The Sith are trying to stir up trouble with the Rodian clans in order to turn them against the Republic?" Balto said.
Mira nodded.
"They're a bunch of kriffing…" she began.
"Watch your mouth, young lady!" Simba shouted, cutting her off.
Mira wanted to reply, but didn't. It would be useless to argue with a Jedi. Tigress turned to C8-42.
"C8, did the masters say anything specific about the mission?" she asked.
"Yes, Mistress. They told me that once we land, we are to meet a Rodian named Beedo at the spaceport. He will then take us to the court of the Grand Protector of his clan, who will explain all of this to us," the droid said.
Tigress nodded just as Jenna went up to her.
"Master Jedi, what do you plan to do to stop them?" she asked.
Tigress shrugged.
"I don't know, Jenna. All I know is that we must put a stop to this. After what we did to their operation on Amar, they're sure to try and get back at us. They'll stop at nothing to crush the Republic," she said.
Mira smiled.
"I know exactly what's going to happen. You're going to kick their butts and get rid of them. After that, you can finally admit your feelings for each other and move on," she said.
Tigress glared.
"Mira, we don't have feelings for each other," she said, her tone rather unconvincing.
Mira got up and began to walk towards the ship's female dormitory.
"Yeah, keep telling yourself that," she said.
Tigress watched her leave, and then went to meditate for a time. Finally, the ship reached Rodia. They landed at the spaceport. Upon disembarking, they were met by their Rodian contact, Beedo. He was a young male Rodian. He said a typical Rodian greeting, followed by something else.
"He says that he is glad that you are here, and that he is ready to take you to the court of his father, Grand Protector Rohan," C8-42 said.
Po looked at Beedo.
"Lead the way, Beedo," he said.
Beedo nodded, and then started off, beckoning the Jedi and Balto, Jenna, Mira, C8 and T3 to follow him. They did so. The removal of trouble from Rodia was at hand.

Chapter 8
Beedo continued to lead the group to his father's citadel. Before long, they arrived. Beedo said something and C8 relayed it to the group.
"He says that we have arrived. Now, allow him to take you inside. Grand Protector Rohan will explain everything," the droid said.
The Jedi and their allies nodded and followed the young Rodian. Po looked at Tigress.
"Well, here we go," he said, trying to make it look like he was thinking of the mission, though he was actually thinking of her.
Tigress nodded.
"Hopefully, we can resolve this situation," she said, also thinking of him, but trying to hide it as well.
Before long, Beedo had led them to the Grand Protector's citadel. Soon after, they found themselves standing in Rohan's presence. The middle-aged Rodian began to speak of the event, with C8 translating for them.
"He says that the Sith have been causing much trouble and telling many lies about the Republic," the droid said.
"Like what?" Nala asked.
C8 related the question to Rohan, who then returned a reply.
"They say that the Republic is only interested in exports of weaponry for their army, that they don't care at all for Rodia itself," C8 said.
Mira scoffed.
"That's definitely a lie. The Republic cares for its member worlds, not for what they can provide," she said.
Tigress held up a paw to silence the adolescent, then looked back at the Grand Protector.
"What would you have us do?" she asked.
C8 relayed her question to Rohan, and then gave Tigress his response. The Sith were in an encampment in the jungles surrounding the citadel. Rohan wanted them removed. The Jedi nodded, though they wished that more fighting wasn't necessary. Beedo was assigned to lead them to the encampment. They left Rohan's citadel and headed for the jungle. Soon enough, they arrived and made their way into the encampment. Cloaking themselves and their allies with the Force, they entered the camp. However, as soon as they prepared to draw their weapons, they were spotted by one of the Sith officers, a female hyena.
"Who are you?" she demanded.
Tigress sneered and growled.
"Not someone to answer your questions," she answered, igniting the orange blade of her lightsaber.
The female hyena panicked.
"Commander! We have Republic spies! Sound the alarm!" she shouted.
The commander, a male wolverine, came out with his soldiers and a group of Sith war droids. Tigress leapt into action. Po, Nala and Simba ignited their lightsabers, while Mira, Balto and Jenna got out their vibroblades and blasters. T3 used his droid weapons. Each of them joined Tigress in the fight. Soon, the remaining Sith fled in fright. The Jedi were disappointed that they had to resort to drawing their lightsabers once again. After finding C8, who had hidden behind the tents to avoid destruction, they headed back to Rohan's citadel. The Grand Protector and his family were very pleased. After goodbyes were said, the team headed back to the Ebon Hawk. Once there, they contacted the Jedi Council. Master Rafiki's hologram appeared.
"I trust that your mission was successful," he began.
Simba nodded.
"Yes, Master," he said.
"Well-done. Now, do not falter, for de council has yet another mission for you and your allies," Rafiki replied.
"What is it, Master Rafiki?" Tigress asked.
"We have received a notice from de Jedi academy on Dantooine that the settlers of dat world are plagued by rogue Mandalorian. We want you to go and see what you can do. Also, dey said dat dere is a strong dark side presence in a sacred meditation grove," the Mandrill said.
Po nodded.
"We're on our way, Master Rafiki," he said.
And with that, Master Rafiki's hologram vanished. Balto and Jenna went into the cockpit and activated the ship. It lifted off Rodia and headed into space. After that, Balto dialed in the coordinates for Dantooine and sent it into hyperspace. Onboard the ship, Mira settled into one of the ship.
"Finally, we get a mission that doesn't involve the Sith," she said, her tail wagging eagerly.
Tigress smiled at the teenager's enthusiasm.
"Just take care. The Mandalorians are nothing like the low-ranking Sith grunts we've faced so far," she said.
Mira chuckled.
"Don't worry. I may be young, but I'm not stupid. I will be very careful," she said.
Tigress nodded.
"You're a very talented girl, Mira. Your parents did well raising you," she said.
This brought a smile to the Amaran's face.
"Thanks, Master Jedi," she said.
Tigress looked at her upon hearing this.
"I'm just a Jedi. I'm no master," she said.
Mira burst out laughing.
"I saw what you did both here and on Amar. That's not the work of just anyone," she said.
Tigress nodded.
"All right. Be ready," she said.
Mira nodded. Before long, they would arrive at Dantooine.

Chapter 9
The Ebon Hawk continued its journey through hyperspace. Its crew passed the time by talking of their goals, and giving Mira a lesson on the history of the Jedi academy on Dantooine.
"It was at this academy that the great Sith War of forty years ago began," Nala said.
Mira looked at her with interest.
"How?" the teenage Amaran asked.
Nala was pleased to see that she was interested.
"Well, at that time, there was a young, powerful panther Jedi named Exar Kun. He was extremely talented, both with the Force and with a lightsaber, but he was also extremely arrogant and drawn to forbidden Sith teachings. After a time, he went to seek out these teachings, and eventually fell to the dark side and became Dark lord of the Sith. He then corrupted dozens of Jedi and led a war against the Jedi and the Republic. Eventually, however, he was defeated by the Jedi on the fourth moon of Yavin," she explained.
Mira nodded.
"What does the academy on Dantooine have to do with him?" she asked.
"It was where he was trained by the great Krevaaki Jedi master Vodo-Siosk Baas. After his fall to the dark side, however, Exar Kun murdered Master Vodo in the senate building on Coruscant," Nala answered.
Now, Mira was even more curious.
"What? How did he do that?" she asked.
Nala smiled, as she was proud of the young Amaran vixen's interest.
"I'll tell you later," she said.
Mira smiled back.
"I'll be waiting," she said.
The Ebon Hawk continued on its way. Finally, it came out of hyperspace and arrived at Dantooine. From space, the planet appeared as a ball colored in hues of olive-green, blue and brown. Balto brought the Ebon Hawk down into the planet's atmosphere and landed it at the Jedi academy. Once they were down, Tigress looked at Mira.
"Now, I'm sure that the council warned the masters of the academy that we were coming, so I want you to be on your best behavior. Remember, I intend to report to your parents how you acted on this journey when we get back to Coruscant," she said.
Mira saluted the female Jedi.
"Don't worry, Master Tigress. I won't act up," she said.
Tigress wanted to ask her not to call her "master" yet, but decided against it. She simply nodded to indicate that she was pleased with what she heard. They disembarked from the ship. Standing before them were four Jedi masters. The group consisted of two anthros, an old male wolf with grey fur named Nava and a beautiful female cheetah in middle age named Duma. The two aliens were Zhar, a red-skinned male Twi'lek, and Vandar, a short male with green skin, three-fingered hands and long ears whose species was unknown. Master Duma stepped forward to greet the group.
"Greetings. We have been expecting you. I am Duma, and with me are Master Nava, Master Zhar and Master Vandar," she said, gesturing to each one as she spoke to indicate the identity of her fellow masters.
Tigress bowed, as did the others. Tigress then looked Master Duma in the eyes.
"I am Tigress, and with me are my fellow Jedi, Po, Nala and Simba, our pilots Balto and Jenna, our Amaran friend and computer specialist Mira and our two droids, C8-42 and T3-M4," she said, also gesturing at her companions as she spoke to indicate their identities.
Master Duma nodded.
"Come. We have much to discuss," she said.
And so, the group followed her and the other masters. As they entered the academy, Mira looked to one side of the landing area and saw a door with a sign above it that read "Danny and Sawyer's Supply Shop". She memorized the name, thinking that it would definitely be a place to check out later on. They walked through a courtyard and finally into the chambers of the Dantooine Jedi council. The masters took their seats. Duma looked at the newcomers.
"Now, on to the business at hand. As you have already been told, the settlers of Dantooine have been plagued by Mandalorian raiders. After Darth Trucidus, when he was still called Shere Khan, defeated them in the Mandalorian Wars, some of them went rogue and became nothing more than bandits. They are causing much trouble," she said.
Simba nodded.
"Master Rafiki also mentioned something about the dark side corrupting a meditation grove," he said.
Master Nava nodded.
"Yes, and it is also making the local predators much more vicious. Besides dealing with the Mandalorians, we ask you to deal with this other problem," he said.
"What's causing this dark corruption?" Tigress asked.
"The predators are only a symptom of the true problem. You must go and discover it for yourselves. Just remember that those on the dark path are not always lost forever," Master Zhar said.
Realizing that this would be all they got out of the masters, the Jedi and their allies bowed, then headed off. Once they were far enough away, Mira looked at the group.
"I think we should start the mission by asking around about the issue," she said.
Everyone agreed.
"Where do we start?" Po asked.
Mira smiled.
"There's a shop by the docking bay. I bet the owners will have some information," she said.
Everyone nodded. Mira led them to the shop. Inside, it contained a wide selection of weapons, droid parts and other mechanical components. The owners, a green-eyed male cat with short orange fur and a brown-eyed female cat with long white fur. The female cat approached them.
"Welcome to our shop. My name is Sawyer and with me is my husband Danny. How may we help you?" she asked.
Tigress walked over to her.
"We're looking for information about the Mandalorian raiders. Do you know anything?" she asked.
Sawyer shrugged.
"We've been getting many customers because of this, but we really don't know anything about the problem. I'm sorry," she said.
"Thank you for your time, Sawyer," Tigress replied.
"Always a pleasure to talk to a Jedi," Sawyer answered.
The Jedi and the others said their goodbyes and then left, walking through the Jedi academy until they came to the door that led out to the wilds of Dantooine. No sooner had they walked through the door were they approached by two young adult wolves. One was a male with grey fur and blue eyes, while the other was a lovely female with golden-brown fur and brown eyes. The female came up to them.
"Thank the Force you're here. We have an issue," she said.
"Who are you?" Mira asked.
The female looked at the group.
"I am Kate, and with me is my husband Humphrey. We need you to come with us to my father's estate," she said.
"Why?" Po asked.
Kate looked at the panda.
"We can tell you more about the Mandalorian raiders," she said.

Chapter 10
Tigress, Po, Nala, Simba, Mira, Balto, Jenna and the droids followed Kate and Humphrey from the grounds of the Jedi academy onto the wild savannahs of Dantooine.
"How far is it to your father's estate?" Nala asked.
"It's not very far at all," Kate replied.
The journey continued on. Before long, they arrived at a sprawling estate. Surrounding it were vast fields of crops and livestock pens containing many animals, including large, furry, horned banthas and smelly, bad-tempered nerfs. Kate and Humphrey led them to the front door and brought them into the house. There to meet them were Kate's father, Winston, his wife and Kate's mother Eve, her pretty, white-furred younger sister Lilly and her handsome, reddish-brown, green-eyed husband Garth. Winston looked at the group.
"Welcome to our home. You have met Kate and Humphrey. Now, I am Winston, and this is my wife Eve, our other daughter Lilly and her husband Garth. We operate a very successful agricultural business, hence the fields and livestock," Winston said.
"Kate mentioned that you were having trouble with the Mandalorian raiders," Tigress said.
Eve's eyes narrowed.
"Yes. Those monsters have been raiding our barns and killing our livestock," she said.
"Killing livestock?" Mira asked.
Winston nodded.
"It's a horrific sight. I will show you what they did to one of our nerfs just last night," he said.
The Jedi and their allies nodded and prepared themselves for the sight they were about to see.
"Take us," Nala said.
Winston nodded, and then he and his family took the group to the pen where the butchered nerf lay. When they arrived, it was the most unbelievably horrific sight they had ever seen. The flesh of the animal's face had been stripped off with a vibroblade, showing the skull, which had a small blaster hole in it. Most of the organs were scattered about in piles to decay. The smell was horrid and insects swarmed around. Blood streaked the golden grass.
"Well, here you go. Here is what the Mandalorians did to us," Kate said, frowning slightly.
"Are you sure this was the Mandalorians' work?" Po asked, wanting to be absolutely positive.
Kate nodded, looking at the panda as if he was crazy.
"Positive. This is definitely not the work of Kath hounds. I mean, when was the last time you saw Kath hounds carrying vibroblades and blasters, wearing armor and making such precise cuts?" she said in a slightly sarcastic tone.
Po looked at her, knowing that she was right. Kath hounds were ferocious local predators who occasionally killed livestock, but they didn't do it here. Winston began to explain more about the raiders, including their leader, Sherruk, a tall crocodile with a penchant for killing Jedi, and where they could be found.
"Help us, Jedi. You're our only hope," Lilly said pleadingly.
The Jedi and their allies nodded, and after getting further information on their whereabouts, set out. Before long, they came upon their first group of Mandalorians. They tried to stop them from killing an elderly Anthro farmer, but failed and were forced to draw their weapons and fight back. Once the Mandalorians were down, Mira smiled, her sweet green eyes giving her an air of innocence.
"Oh how I can't wait to tell my parents about these adventures," she said proudly.
"I'm sure they'll be proud of you," Nala said.
Mira followed them, thinking of her parents' potential reactions and trying to forget the nausea brought on by the sight of the mutilated nerf.
