Sometime later, Krystal stopped. Only then did she notice Oliver behind her and walk over to him. "Well, I didn't see you here before. My name is Krystal, and you are?" she asked.

"Oliver." the youngling said smiling at her.

Krystal looked about the room. "Where are your fellow younglings?" she asked.

"I keep to myself, the others tease me cause I don't have a strong connection to the force."Oliver replied hanging his head down.

Krystal looked at him compassionately. "Do you have a master to guide you yet?" she asked.

"No." he said sadly.

Krystal put a hand on his shoulder. "Tell you what. I am leaving for a mission on Taris tomorrow. It's a mission that also serves as my trials of knighthood. If I succeed, I will talk to the Jedi council about taking you as a padawan," she told him.

Krystal nodded. "Yes, but it all depends on if I succeed. Train hard from when I leave to the time I get back. You see, I am assigned to help with the Republic's restoration efforts and the Sith are always trying to sabotage us. They don't want us to undo all the destruction that Darth Malak, once the Jedi named Soto, committed three hundred years ago," she said.

Oliver nodded, giving Krystal a big hug.
Meanwhile Kovu was playing with a mouse, using the force to catch it, only to smile and let it go.

Vitani stood nearby, watching. She knew that their mother wasn't going to like this, and that Kovu was likely to get a horrid punishment. It was always like that. Not long ago, she herself had flinched at the bite of a dinko. Zira had punished her by locking her in her room, which she had filled with many dinkos and disabled the power, preventing her from turning on the light. She could not leave until she had killed all the dinkos. She watched, waiting to see what would happen.

"Kovu!" she scolded, slapping the cub hard as he cowered. "How many times have I told you never show weakness you are training to be sith like your father!" she hissed.

Vitani said nothing. She hesitantly went back to her training, eager to avoid her mother's wrath. "Through victory, my chains are broken..." she said, resuming her lightsaber training.

Meanwhile Havoc squad were all in place as the asault began. " Vitani remain with Kovu!" Zira commanded as she left to deal with the attack.

Vitani sighed. "Yes, mother," she said. She then turned to her brother. "All right, Kovu, don't leave my sight. If you do, Mother will give us a punishment that will make the dinko incident look like a walk on Alderaan!" she said.
