It was a great day in the African city of Priderock, a great stone city that stood for centuries. It was ruled by Mufasa and his wife Sarabi. They had three Children, Simba, the oldest son and heir to the throne. then there was Vitani, a true beauty among beauties, but also a skilled warrior. Then finally was little Kovu, the youngest of the three and eager apprentice to the Shaman Rafiki the mandril.
Today, Mufasa and Sarabi had taken time to spend the day with their children.
Mufasa was showing Kovu how to fight, Sarabi watching as Kovu hit the dirt again. "don't stand still Kovu, keep moving." Mufasa said as he helped his youngest up.
Kovu smiled as he accepted his father's help. They went through the drill again.
"Simba, you and Vitani will join me in our ceramonial hunt for the great feast." Sarabi said to her two oldest.
Meanwhile, Lord Patrick Anderson, a british explorer and noble surveyed the land of Africa. It was magnificent, such beauty, such majesty. The young lion was honored to lead this expedition for the king.
His expiditionary force comprised of a a thousand soliders and merchents.with horses and ox to carry their loads. They headed inland.

Simba bowed appreciatively. "Yes, Mother. What shall we be hunting today?" he asked, ready for anything.
Just then, another lioness, a young female with pale tan fur and blue-green eyes, emerged. Her name was Nala, and she was gorgeous beyond all possible imagination. She was also Simba's girlfriend, soon to be his mate. "This feast should be one to remember," she said.

Vitani smiled, "I'm sure it'll be fun and don't worry Nala I'll make sure simba doesn't get hurt." She said to her.

Nala picked up a spear and hurled it into a sheet of leather as a way of practicing for the hunt. "I hope he will be. We were planning on spending time together later," she said.

Simba looked out to the horizon. "The herds are out in force this year. The hunt shouldn't be a failure," he said.

Not too far away, Lord Patrick's expeditionary force saw the same herds. Dismounting, He got his riffle and took aim at a Gazelle. He pulled the trigger as a loud bang filled the air and the herds scattered.
Sarabi froze as she herd that strange sound. "Simba, Vitani, back to the city NOW!" She ordered as she feared what could've made such a sound.

Simba grabbed both Nala and Vitani. "Yes, Mother," he said before pulling both his girlfriend and sister back into the city.

Simba's eyes narrowed. "Look, Vitani, I am your older brother and I am sworn to protect you. You won't leave the house until this is solved," he said.

Kovu walked up to simba. "What was that sound Simba, we heard it all the way here." Kovu said.

Simba shrugged. "I don't know. It was unlike anything we have ever heard. I hope Mother can figure it out," he said.

Meanwhile, Patrick had gone off to explore on his own while camp was being set up. This land was magnificent.
