Scar smiled. "Yes, and I will send along someone else to be sure," he said. Out of the hall emerged a large male tiger. "I am sure you all remember Shere Khan. He's one of my personal guards," he added.

Kovu had accually not gone too far and was sulking in a nearby cave. He was hugging his legs close to him. Kovu was certain after his little outburst that Vitani would hate him. and what about the wolves, would they accept him?

Meanwhile, Vitani had returned to the wolf village to see if Kovu had returned there. She began trying to ask around, but most cruelly rebuffed her on account of her being a lion and the daughter of Scar. She sighed sadly. "Will someone help me?!" she shouted.

After a while, Kovu decided he couldn't run forever. He headed back to the village where he saw Vitani. The young five year old cub ran up and hugged her tightly. "Please don't Cry Tani, I'm here!" He said.

Vitani returned the hug. However, before she could speak, a beautiful she-wolf dressed in a blue leotard approached them. "Greetings, I am Lupe, wife of Blackfur and mother of Meeko. How can I help?" she asked.

Lupe laughed. "I wouldn't trust what he said. He's only a representative of Aniu. It is her word that you must trust, but I don't know if anything can be done," she said.
