Balto sighed. "Boris, you weren't there when I first went into Nome as a pup. He was a bully from the start. He hates me because I bit him in self-defense that time," he said.

Boris smiled, "Well I'm sure Steele will be over all that and you guys can start off new and maybe even be friends." He said to him.

Balto scoffed and continued to walk. Back at the finish line, Mufasa was congratulating his brother. "Congratulations, Zuba. Yet another win for you and your team," he said.

Mufasa nodded. "Have you considered retiring Steele yet? He's starting to look like he's a bit past his prime," he said.

Zuba smiled, "Yes I've been thinking but as I would say there's something about him that makes me not want to retire him." He said to him as he looked at Steele.

Mufasa chuckled. "Well, he's going to get too old to run eventually, and you'll need a new lead dog," he said. He then begin to walk his brother and the others over to a special lunch at a nearby restaurant. It was a winner's celebration. Along the way, Balto encountered the twins Vitani and Kovu, and Vitani went up to attempt to pet him. "Look, Kovu, it's Balto!" she said as she reached out to pet him. However, she was stopped by Gia, a beautiful jaguar who was the girlfriend of Zuba's son Alex. She threw snow at Balto and shouted at him, forcing him to leave. "What were you thinking?" Gia said to Kovu and Vitani.

By the time everyone arrived at the restaurant, the dogs were tied up outside. Balto had to pass on his way out of Nome. He tried to avoid Steele as he passed, but failed. "Please, Steele, I don't want any trouble," he said.

Balto just glared. "Eh, what can you do to me when you're chained to the wall?" he said, referring to how Steele's chain leash was currently attached to a metal ring on the building's side.

Steele glared, "Look mut I know that the fact you shouldn't be around here so why don't you just move on to where you came from so no one gets hurt, and maybe come to see me win my next race." He said to him with a smirk.
