It was a big day in Nome, for it was the day of the annual dog sled race. Overseeing the race was Mayor Mufasa and his family and their three huskies, Jenna, Ice and Amy. The favored musher was Mufasa's brother, Zuba. Simba, Mufasa's firstborn, looked at his kid siblings, Kovu and Vitani. "Looks like Uncle Zuba will win again," he said.

Meanwhile, Ice and Amy were talking with their sister Jenna. Ice, a sable-coated husky, looked at Jenna. "So, do you think Steele will win again?" she asked.

Jenna looked at her, "Yes I'm sure he'll win, because when it comes to Steele he's the best." She said to her.

Meanwhile, nearby, another dog, a wolf hybrid named Balto was running. He looked around. "Come on, Boris. We can catch the end of the race!" he said.

Boris was right behind him as he yelled, "Balto I'm not sure this such a great idea I mean its so cold I don't want you to get sick." He said to the young Hybrid.

Balto laughed. "Come on, Boris, where's your sense of fun?!" he said as he jumped down to the street from their perch.

Boris scolded, "My fun, for your information my boy I am plenty of fun its just that I think it can get a little dangerous out here that's all." He said to him.

However, Balto had suddenly stopped in his tracks. He was looking at Jenna, as he usually did whenever he got a chance. However, he couldn't just go to her, as the anthros were there and would chase him off. "She's beautiful," he said.

Boris smiled, "She is beautiful isn't she, well when your time comes you might fall in love with her." He said to him mockingly.

Balto sighed and sadly walked away. "Don't think that I didn't miss that," he said.

Boris followed, "Look Balto, there will be a time when some one like her will need some one to love and to care for and maybe just maybe if you follow your heart you two might just make a great couple." He said to him trying to cheer him up.

Just before Balto could respond, there was a cheer as the winner crossed the finish line. From the cheers, Balto knew the winner. "It looks like Steele won again," he said.

Boris nodded, "Its sounds like he did, and why do you disspise him Balto, I mean I bet he's a great guy." He said to him.
