Zira snarled, then intertwined tails with her sisters and did their trademark spin attack, only to be defeated by Aniu. Aniu looked at her allies. "Come on, we need to escape," she said.

Aniu led the way out of Lord Scar's fortress, fighting Zira and the others all the way. Finally, they were out. "Now, I will lead you to Master Zuba's home," she said as Jenna, Ice, Amy and their daughters arrived. "The ladies of the shade are also fighters," she explained.

Alex nodded. "Her name is Vitani, and she is much better than her family, and definitely cleaner than her brother," he said as he brought them into the main room, where Vitani sat with Vitaly and Zuba. "Everyone, meet Vitani," he said, indicating a pretty though slightly scruffy golden-furred lioness with brilliant blue eyes. "These are the warriors from the Jade Palace," he told her.
