It was a beutiful day in Eric and Ariel's kingdom. The Palace was bustling with activity in preperation for Patrick and Melody's birthday party. Since his birth five years ago on Melody's birthday, Patrick and his 12 year old older sister's birthday;s have been celebrated on the same day. However the too were very close dispite their age gap and Patrick had joined Melody on her unathorized ventures outside the sea wall.
"We got some great sea shells today Patrick." Melody smiled, as she and her brother looked at their bags that held their sea shells. "Yeah, But all the good ones are too far down to get too, we'd have to be merfolk to get that deep." Patrick sighed as Sebashtion found his two charges. "Uh oh Mel, our crabby keeper's here." Patrick said as Melody giggled.

Sebastian sighed irritably as he finally caught up to the young prince and princess. "Finally, I find you! Do you know how disappointed your parents are going to be when they find out that you were out here?!" he said.

"Dissapointed, try mad sebashtian." Patrick said, circling around him. "Besides why can't we be out in ocean, The only dangers here are sharks and sting rays, but they never come this close to shore." Melody said. "Yeah, and we love the sea sebashstian, why do we have a stupid sea wall?" Patrick sighed.

Sebastian turned away. "I'm sorry, your majesties. I cannot tell you that. Now, follow me back to the palace. I must explain all of this to your parents," he said, scuttling off back to the palace, thinking of how he was going to explain this to Ariel and Eric.

Patrick and melody winced at this as Patrick grabbed sebashtian by his claws before dumping hm into his hands. " Look here sebashtain, either you keep our little swims ot past that dumb wall our little secret, or I'll have cheif Louie put seafood back on the menu, starting with Crab, namely you." He threatened, poking his finger into sebashtian's chest. Melody sighed. Her brother had his scary moments. "You wanna know something else sebashtian, sometimes patrick and I pretend we're merfolk." Melody grinned as sand Patrick decided to head back.

Sebastian said nothing as he and the children headed back to the palace. They entered the throne room. "Your majesties, I have returned," he called out to Ariel and Eric.

Patrick and melody first took a detour to their rooms, which were right next door to each other to change and dry before going to see Eric and Ariel. "Hey mom, hey dad." Patrick and melody said. Melody was in her causual sun lellow dress and Patrick was in his causual shirt and pants. Patrick's atire was like his father's normal attire , but with green pants. Their party was still hours away.
"So where were you two?" Ariel asked, giving them the mom look. "We were swimming." Melody said. "Inside the safety of the giagantic, stupid sea wall." Patrick added. His tone making no attempt to hide his hatred of that wall. "Really?" Eric added. "Yeah, and I found this caught in the bars." Melody added, pulling a locket with her name on it. "What is it and why does it have my name on it?" Melody asked her parents, letting Patrick look at it.

Meanwhile, Sebastian sat on a nearby table, wondering what was going to be said about the locket. He said nothing.

Airel and eric looked in shock as Patrick played with the locket, before geting it open. "Wow. Melody lokk, Merpeople and atlantica!" He said in awe at the underwater city. Melody turned to her Parents. "But you guys said atlantica wasn't real." Melody said, taiking the locket and putting it on.
""Melody, Patrick we can explain." Ariel said, not wanting to turn into more of her father than she already did. She hated that sea wall as much as Eric and her children, and yelling at them for clearly lying about going outside the seawall would only make things worse.
"Explain what, that you hate the sea!" Their children said, running to their rooms as they slammed the doors shut and locked them.
Ariel felt faint as Erc ran and caught her. The accuasation that they hated the sea hurt Ariel worse than anything Ursala or her other old enemies could do. She missed Atlantica, her family, her old friends. It as just too much for her to bear any more and Ariel cryed into Eric. " Shhhush Ariel, It's OK." He said.

It was a long moment before Sebastian spoke again. "Well, your majesties, what now? Something needs to be done. We must not let this family be torn apart," he said.

Ariel regained her composure as she looked at Eric. "Eric, I think we need tell them the truth." She said as he nodded. "Yeah, Sebashstian, go get them, and bring them back here." Eric said.
Meanwhile Patrick and Melody had alreay ran away. Melody in the clothes she used to go swimming in and Patrick with his bow and quiver full of arrows along with a short sword. Since their Parents were not going to tell them about the locket, they'd find out themselves.

Sebastian went to find the kids, but could not. He searched the palace, but still could not find them. Suddenly, he realized what had happend. He scuttled over to where Eric and Ariel were. "Your majesties, your children are gone!" he exclaimed.

"Gone..But where?" Ariel asked as she scooped up Sebashtian.
Meanwhile Melody and Patrick were in a rowboat and had just found undertow. "So this Morgona, she can tell us about this Locket?" Melody asked the formerly huge shark.

Sebastian shrugged as he was picked up. He seemed panicked. "I don't know, Ariel. I looked all over the palace, and they are gone," he said.
Undertow smirked. "Yes. She is very powerful and will be able to explain everything to you," he said.

Melody looked at Patrick as they whispered between each other for a bit. "OK, lead on." Patrick said as Clak and dagger pulled the boat with their tails.
"We have to find them. Sebashtian go get Daddy." Ariel said, setting the crab down.
