A month after the boys were adopted into the Son family, Radditz, Goku's long lost Saiyan brother arrived on earth. His Saiyan pod crashed in the Son Martial arts academy out door training ground, luckily all the students got clear of the impact zone.

"All saiyan's sent off world as infants are given mental programing, including the the knowledge of their names." Radditz said. "Hey Dad, didn't you say you fell into a canyon as a baby and hit your head?" Patrick asked.

It all returned to Goku. "Yes, you're right. I lost a lot of memories," he said.

"If I may, I can help restore them." Radditz said as He held his hand to Goku's fore head, Closing his eyes, Radditz restored Goku's Full memories. "So does this mean we have to call him Kakarot from now on?" Bulma asked. "Not if you don't want to, Kakarot is not the first Saiyan to either lose his memories or adopt a new name." Radditz smiled.

Goku nodded. "I would prefer to continue going by Goku. It's what I have gone by since I was a child," he said.

Radditz explained that due to their war with Frieza, the Saiyans born with the lowest power levels were sent off world to grow up safely away from Planet Vegeta so that if the planet was destroyed, the Saiyan race still would survive.
