The master smiled in response to Kate's question. "Good question. You see, I programmed the machine to give you each different abilities. Humphrey, you have supernatural speed. Kate, your natural agility has been increased, and you will have gained new fighting skills. Lilly, you will have the command over ice, snow and water, and Garth, you will be able to manipulate fire without having to have a pre-existing source," he said.

Humphrey gave his new speed a test. It was impressive. At the same time, Lilly created a column of ice. She then marveled as Garth blasted fire from his hands.

Then, just to warn them of what they were dealing with, he showed the news reports of Parvo's terrorist attacks all over the world: the U.S., England, Germany, Switzerland and Russia, plus many more. Many had either died or been hurt.

The Wolves left. While driving there, Kate accidentally hit Patrick, the now anthro wolf pup hit the car, cracking the windshield.
