By now, the others were coming in to see the new puppy. Krypto was eager to help name his son. He leaned in to get a better look, only to move back when the puppy sneezed, shooting out a tiny burst of fire, much to the shock of all present. Krypto chuckled proudly. "Well, I think we now know what his power is. How about we name him Draco. It means 'dragon'," he said to Brainy.

Streaky walked in and looked at the young pup, "He looks just like you Krypto so what did you too name him." He said to him.

Krypto smiled. "We called him Draco, which means 'dragon'. He can breathe fire. Brainy and I just witnessed it," he said. He looked at Brainy. "Brainy, I am going to stay with you during the sleep period. However, I will have to leave and return to Metropolis. Will you be all right without me?" he asked.

Krypto tried to stay calm. "Taking care of a puppy is hard work, and I will return to your side when I can," he said.
Meanwhile, aboard his own ship, Mechanikat sat in his chair. "Snooky! Have you heard anything regarding the Dog Stars?!" he shouted.

Snooky frowned, "Yes one of them has been pregnant for a while I fear a new Dog Star will be born soon sir." He said to him.

Mechanikat glared. "There are only two females on that team. That means it is either Brainy Barker or Mammoth Mutt. Either way, we need to be ready," he said.

Just then, a thought hit Mechanikat. "What if Krypto is the father? We then need to move fast," he said.
Back aboard the DSP ship, Krypto was with Brainy. "Brainy, when I leave, I am going to assign the others to guard you until I can return. I am not taking any chances when a puppy is involved," he said.

Krypto laughed. "Don't worry, Brainy. I have never taken unnecessary risks and I don't intend to start now," he said, cuddling close to her. A small sadness overtook him. "If only we could always be together..." he said.

Krypto sighed. "However, just remember, we became romantic with the full knowledge that we wouldn't always be able to be together. I have my responsibilities in Metropolis and you have yours here in space," he said.
